In Spain cavalry were not restricted to the nobility. If you could afford a horse then you were cavalry. If you could afford armour then you fought with the nobles. So Armoured Cavalry includes Nobles, Knights and Wealthy non-nobles (called Caballos Villanos).
?? TODO ?? Ricos Hombres
Mercenary light cavalry are either Basques or Berbers. Such javelin and shield armed cavalry became known as Jinetes, a term derived from the name of a Berber clan.
Javelinmen can discard their leather jerkin to become armour class N for a reduced cost of -2. Their equipment included a heavy javelin which is treated as a throwing axe. Javelinmen from Catalonia and Aragon were called Almughavares which basically means raiders.
