Operation Crossfire 2014

Nikolas Lloyd has announced “Operation Crossfire” for November 2014. A world wide event using Crossfire as the tactical rules.

Following the success of World Crossfire Day 2009, in which I played Game 8, Lloyd has decided to give it another go. At least the “world” aspect. In other ways “Operation Crossfire” is different. “Operation Crossfire” may well be a world first – a wargame played on many tables around the world simultaneously, with two overall commanders basing their decisions on the e-mails sent to them during the game.

Check out the video where Lloyd explains what is going to happen.

For updates and general hype on “Operation Crossfire” you might want to join the Yahoo Crossfire group. You might also want to check out Lloyds site. The Crossfire rules are available from On Military Matters in the USA and Caliver Books in the UK.

  1. Hi Nikolas,

First of all I’d like to congratulate you on this magnificent show of initiative and what sounds to me like a most excellent idea. I’m very interested in joining in on the fun. I have the rulebook (I haven’t played a great deal of Crossfire so I’d certainly need a few test runs. I’m an Irishman living in Alberta Canada. Anyway I’ll join the Yahoo group and see what happens.

Wishing you every success with the operation!

    All the best

    John
