Zaloga and Ness (2003) (p. 11-15) describe the TO&E for the Soviet Rifle Division in the period Oct – Nov 1941 (a variant of TO 04/600-616). This is the Crossfire Orbat.
The historical order of battle
A revision 12 Oct 1941 of the July TO&E (TO 04/600-616) in use Oct – Nov 1941.
The changes were:
- Concentrate the Battalion mortar assets into the Regiment.
- Concentrate the Regimental mortars at the Division level.
- Add a SMG company to each regiment in new divisions, but not existing divisions.
