Playing the Fall of Hispania Campaign

I’ve been reflocking my Fall of Roman armies and wanted to take them for a spin. I prefer scenarios but these are unusual in this period, pick up games being more common. I decided to put our pick up games in a context and came up with the Fall of Hispania Campaign mechanism.

The Fall of Hispania Campaign system can be used with any rules but we started with Field of Glory then moved into a series of fast play rules, e.g. Big Base DBA, Dux Bellorum and Red Spear, Black Crow.

The campaign is played in a series of rounds, corresponding to a particular year. There are big gaps between years to mimic the pattern of battles from history.
