There are lots of wargaming rules for World War 2. These are the ones I play: Crossfire, Megablitz, Rapier Offensive and Engle Matrix Games. One day I might write up my thoughts on the competitors, of which there are many.
All of the games from Two Hour Wargames are based on the same mechanisms. Since Chain Reaction 3.0 has their core rules, and it is free, I wondered what the other rules sets are giving me. You could argue that this exercise is a waste of time as I’ve already bought the other rules but really I’m thinking “if I wrote my own supplement what would I have to write and what would come from Chain Reaction 3.0?”.
In Legends of Al-Andalus you might encounter the Villagers. This section is used for villagers in fertile area of the Emirate near the City (the Vega) or their kindred in the nearby mountains (the Sierra). The villagers of the Sierra are slightly more militant than their compatriots of the Vega. They have to be given they regularly have to face raids by bandits and adjacent powers.
Legends of Al-Andalus takes place in one of the many Taifa Kingdoms in in the Iberian peninsular in 1030 AD.
